Matimex, the leader in the manufacture of photocatalytic porcelain stoneware of dimensions 300 x 150 cm, with the necessary collaboration of Implíca-t, a company specialized in solar photovoltaic self-consumption in Castellón, has installed a solar self-consumption plant of 135 solar modules on the roof of our Almazora facilities.
The solar plant, which has a power of 40 kwp, has been built using the self-consumption mode with simplified self-compensation, which implies that 100% of the energy generated by the photovoltaic solar installation, is consumed within the production facilities with the consequent energy saving.
In Matimex, facilities have been optimized to use energy in a rational, safe and sustainable way with the implementation of LED lighting in all workplaces. This year we have decidedly committed to the use of photovoltaic solar panels to contribute to environmental care.
«By generating our green energy, we contribute to the reduction of CO2 emissions and thus curbing climate change. This commitment with the sustainability has always been present in the history of our Group, Iris Ceramica Group, with projects such as Zero Emissions, whose objective is to reduce the environmental footprint during the manufacture of ceramic material or the Active Clean Air & Antibacterial Ceramic product, a Ceramic anti-pollution and bactericidal photocatalytic material that provides well-being,”says Juan-Luis Grafulla, General Director of Matimex.
Betting on renewable energy this time is another step in Matimex's strategy that seeks to make business growth compatible with sustainable development.
