FAILURE I MATIMEX PHOTO CONTEST

The jury, made up of architectural photographers: Alfonso Calza, Paco Marin and Milena Villalba, considers that the following photographs presented are worthy of being awarded.

The best valued image and, therefore, gets the first prize is «Everlasting», by Ibon Pérez. The photography stands out for its technical and compositional quality, as well as for the use of shadows and color. It is the architectural image that best defines the theme of the contest, according to the members of the jury.

Second prize is awarded to «Acuarela» by Zainab Ibrahim Tonegawa. It stands out from the rest of the proposals for its sensitivity and simplicity. The game of textures, the close framing of it and the good use of the various shades of gray position it as the second favorite of the jury.

The third prize is for «Fuentes», by Julia Molina Virués. An elegant image that plays with visual confusion, the use of color and geometry.

Finally, in this first Matimex photography contest, the jury has considered that two more images deserve special recognition for their originality, these are: «Synergies of materiality and ephemeral solar textures» by Tainà Zagonel and «El maestro» by Hector Castro Velasco.
